Q: What is the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center and what does it do?
A: JWBC is program of the JAX Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization and is partially funded through the US Small Business Administration. Now in its 16h year, JWBC has served more than 10,000 clients. The WBC provides a gateway to certification for small businesses. This affords small businesses an opportunity to gain full knowledge on the benefits of certifications, contracting, engagement in JWBC and how to develop relationships with supplier diversity representatives. JWBC provides modern, innovative entrepreneurial education and targeted mentor relationships for women business owners from aspiring to established.

A: The Jacksonville Women’s Business Center’s mission is to expand entrepreneurial and economic development for women in Northeast Florida.

A: Yes! While our focus is on women entrepreneurs; we assist men who have a desire to own their own business or enhance their education and receive counseling or training.

A: Most seminars and trainings are free with a few offered at a nominal fee. Partial scholarships and payment schedules are available. Consultations are provided at no cost.

A: The Society of Small Business is a group of small business owners who support women owned businesses through membership in the Society. Membership is $250/year. Refer to Giving Levels document for other benefits. When the Society reaches 20 members, the proceeds from their membership will go to fund the JWBC Scholarship Fund.
