City of Jacksonville to offer Small Business Grants: The Small Business Relief Grant Program will be ready to launch on Monday morning at 9am. The only way to apply for this $2,000 grant is to do so online by visiting https://MyJax.custhelp.com/ Applicants must create a MyJax Business Account before an application can be completed. Applicants can begin creating their MyJax Business Account today at noon by visiting the website and clicking on the link for the Small Business Relief Grant Program. That same link should be used on Monday for the grant application. If you have created a Business Account already, you will be able to log in begin your application process. If you have not created a MyJax Business account, you will be directed to create one prior to being allowed to begin your application process. (6/5 Update)
FirstCoast Relief Fund Re-Activates for COVID-19 Response: As of March 16, the First Coast Relief Fund has been reactivated for COVID-19 response. “… The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, Jessie Ball duPont Fund, Jewish Federation and Foundation of Northeast Florida, United Way of Northeast Florida and United Way of St. Johns County are re-activating Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund.”
Florida Business Damage Assessment Survey: The Florida Business Damage Assessment Survey is now activated to assess the impact of COVID-19 on Florida’s local business operations. The survey, managed by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), will evaluate businesses affected by COVID-19 and the impacts the virus has had on the local economy so actions to implement appropriate relief programs can begin. The results will be shared with state agencies and local partners. Surveys submitted by small businesses can be used to access the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan, made available for COVID-19 through the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act.
Florida Small Business Development Center: All Florida SBDC office locations remain open at this time. However, there have been some modifications to how they will conduct face-to-face engagements with their customers and the general public. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Assistance Program: The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Loans are available for up to $2 million in assistance for a small business.

As the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves, the U.S. Chamber Foundation stands ready to help communities navigate the significant challenges they are facing in a time of great uncertainty. Like any major natural disaster, the coronavirus will have a significant impact on workers, businesses, and the economy.
